What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal health insurance program:
The traditional fee-for-service program offered directly through the federal government. Medicare began in the 1960s and it covers people who are 65 or older however certain younger people with certain disabilities and people with End-Stage Renal Disease will also be entitled. Original Medicare has two parts.

- Medicare Supplemental Insurance often referred to as Medi-Gap
- Helps cover out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and copays
- Works alongside Original Medicare
- Freedom to see any doctor that accepts Medicare
- Ideal for predictable healthcare costs
- You cannot combine a Medicare Supplement and a Medicare Advantage Plan.
